We have an exciting new opportunity for an Exams Access Arrangements Officer to support our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo), Second in Charge SENCo and Learning Support Department during term time. You will be an integral member of the SEN Department and will undertake the co-ordinating, planning, arrangement and submission process for exam access arrangements for learners across the school in line with Awarding Body regulations. This involves collecting and co-ordinating the completion of referral paperwork for all students who are eligible for consideration for access arrangements, preparation of paperwork and ensuring that relevant students’ files (both paper and electronic) are up-to-date and accurate in time for any inspections. The role will involve liaising with many different parties including students, staff, parents and carers and in particular, with our Exams Department with whom you will liaise on an ongoing basis. Our Exams Department staff will provide you with support and training as well.
Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills with attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines are key requirements of this role. If you have excellent written and communication skills, enjoy using your initiative as well as working with a part of a team and are happy working in an environment with young people where no two days are ever the same then we would be interested in hearing from you.
