Excellence and Improvement Officer 

Location: Chesterfield/Derbyshire area 

Salary: £27,880 per annum 

(37 hours per week/52 weeks per year)  

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated team member to join our busy Excellence and Improvement Team.  You will have good attention to detail and an ability to engage and influence College Staff as well as effectively communicate with awarding bodies and other relevant stakeholders.  

The successful candidate will have a robust knowledge of effective quality assurance and improvement processes and a proven track record of achieving targets.  Applicants must have experience of planning and implementing an effective wider quality assurance schedule of teaching, learning and assessment. The role will support the college quality assurance and improvement strategy through the completion of teaching and learning observations and work review activity, so possession of a teaching qualification will be essential to the role the successful candidate.  

Applicants should have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary approaches to quality improvement in education.  

The role will involve close working with a range of College departments and external partners, and the successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently.  

Previous experience of working in a quality assurance and improvement role is preferred; and you must hold TAQA or equivalent assessing and verification qualifications. For further details and to apply for this role, please visit our website at www.chesterfield.ac.uk/jobs
