About the role

We are seeking an ‘Executive and Communications Assistant to CEO’ who can provide high-quality strategic administrative support to our CEO and support our Trust Central Team in managing all aspects of the Trust’s strategic communications in this new and exciting post. Whether you are writing press releases, dealing with correspondence, responding to phone calls or maintaining the CEO’s  diary, you will impress us with your ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure. Drafting and submitting papers for meetings, helping out with the recruitment of staff and updating the Trust website - are all elements of this interesting and varied role.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, your proven experience has been gained in a personal assistant or communications role. You are also used to developing effective office systems and procedures, producing a wide range of written communications in various formats and supporting organisational growth/change. Above all you are adaptable, creative and energetic, with a high level of integrity as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and build positive relationships at all levels.

Heartlands Community Trust was formed in May 2013 and has a well established reputation for educational excellence and the aspiration for all young people to become the best they can be through the emphasis on ‘Search for Success’.

The Trust has two schools - Heartlands High School is oversubscribed and a first-choice school for parents and students in the local community. Our intake is diverse and is a real reflection of the community that we serve. The Grove, a new school is now a very successful school, an all through academy, which caters for the needs of learners with autism and maintains strong links with mainstream provision in the Trust.
