Job overview

Windsor Learning Partnership is an innovative, forward-thinking multi-academy Trust. To reflect the Trust’s ambitions and continued progress, we are looking to appoint an experienced leader to this newly created position – the Executive Headteacher Primary role – that will oversee a group of First Schools in Windsor and be our emerging Primary Director of Education

Who we are

The Windsor Learning Partnership has been fostering a collaborative educational community since our establishment in March 2015. Our commitment is to provide an exceptional educational experience for all local students, with a focus on cooperation, innovation and shared leadership.

Our mission is to place students at the heart of everything we do, offering inspiring experiences, better life chances, and the skills for successful careers and community participation.

About the role

We seek an Executive Headteacher to join our executive leadership team and help lead the strategic direction of Windsor Learning Partnership, with a focus on primary curriculum design, stakeholder management, and organisational growth. The role will involve shaping our teaching and learning frameworks, strengthening our inter-school collaboration, driving a culture of continual educational improvement.

The successful candidate will navigate governance intricacies, champion data-driven decision-making, and promote parental engagement. You will also be responsible for our Ofsted inspections and be a key figure in our conversations with DfE and local authority. Furthermore, you will create a positive and developmental working environment for all of our staff.

Whilst initially being located in and managing Oakfield First School, there is potential for rapid growth in this role to transition fully into a Director of Primary , with an influence over the future direction of the Trust.

Who we are looking for

We seek a leader with a proven track record in educational leadership, stakeholder management, and curriculum development. The Executive Headteacher should come with QTS and a proven track record in primary school leadership.

We are open to the school background that you come from, but demonstrable success in improving school outcomes or maintaining excellence in your school is vital. Whilst multi-site leadership experience is not essential, the desire to take the next step in your career and drive standards across multiple schools is preferred.

The ideal candidate will inspire staff, address immediate challenges, and drive long-term improvements. Experience in building on existing team strengths, collaborating with stakeholders beyond the school, and navigating gentle cultural shifts is crucial.

Our schools play a key role in our community, so being outward-facing and being able to manage flourishing relationships with parents and carers to local and the wider community is essential. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to embrace collaborative and innovative approaches, fostering a supportive and open culture.
