Green Spring Academy is an 11-18 secondary academy located in Shoreditch, East London. It serves an urban, inner city and multi-ethnic intake with a very high percentage of pupil premium students. The academy is joining the Mulberry Schools Trust as a sponsored academy and in September 2018, it will begin a fresh and exciting new journey. 

The successful candidate will play a significant leadership role in this new stage of the academy’s life, crafting a strategic future for the academy within the Trust. The post holder will:

  • build on the academy’s many outstanding strengths to create a system-wide role in school improvement and cutting edge professional practice. 
  • have oversight of one of the academies in the Trust. 
  • contribute to Mulberry’s Teaching School work, heading the development of a leadership academy focused on developing new senior leaders and headteachers for the Trust.


This is a unique opportunity for a talented leader with vision, drive and ambition, and the desire to make a real difference to our pupils and community within a supportive MAT leadership group.

The Mulberry Schools Trust is a small multi-academy trust situated in Tower Hamlets. It was founded in 2017 and the founding school is Mulberry School for Girls, an outstanding school with a long history in the area.

The Mulberry Schools Trust is a small multi academy trust (MAT) that focuses on delivering high quality provision for local families in Tower Hamlets and central East London. Founded by Mulberry School for Girls on 1st May 2017, its aim is to establish a family of schools committed to providing an outstanding education for all children and young people in its care. It includes the newly opened Mulberry University Technical College (MUTC), a teaching school and a strong arts provision.  The Department for Education have also approved the establishment of Mulberry School for Girls and Boys and Mulberry Nursery and Primary School.
