ABC Teachers are recruiting for an outstanding, dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant with recent classroom experience. The position is for a full-time role within an excellent SEN School in Telford. 

The school are looking for someone who can provide SEN support across their Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils. To be considered for this role you must have previous SEN experience in either a school or care work capacity, having prior experience working with Autism, communication issues and Moderate Learning Difficulties. The school aims to provide the highest standards of teaching and learning so that all children can achieve their academic potential, whilst maintaining a happy and safe environment at all times.

We are seeking applicants who are experienced and holds the knowledge and skills in order that they can provide flexible and effective support within a SEN Teaching Assistant role. Relevant qualifications are encouraged but not required to be considered.


The ideal candidate will have:

• Recent SEN experience working with young people that can be referenced

• Good communication skills; throughout pupils, parents, and staff

• A sense of humour and positive presence

• Flexibility and adaptability

• Excellent attendance and punctuality


What to do next:

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce. You will need to pay for this upfront, but once you are fully registered, have uploaded this onto the Update Service and have worked 1 full day with us then we will reimburse you the cost. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain references to cover the last 2 years, and a minimum of 2 references must be a school based. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
