ABC Teachers are seeking a qualified SEN Teaching Assistant, at level 3, for schools in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas. To begin with this will be a short term day to day supply role with longer term roles possible. The role will start in the September term once you have cleared for work with us with both full time and part time roles available.

The schools are seeking an experienced teaching assistant with an extensive background working with SEN pupils who is ideally available 5 days a week. You will be working with pupils with a wide range of SEN needs and as such must have a background or good knowledge of these needs. It will be beneficial if you have worked in an SEN school within the Wolverhampton and Dudley area in the past 2 years

The ideal candidate –

· Teaching Assistant Level 3 or higher

· Proven experience of working in a SEN environment in a past employment or personal setting

· At least 6 weeks experience working within a school environment

· Experience of working 1:1 with students

· Knowledge within the education sector 

· Passion for supporting the learning of children 

· In date DBS & on the Update Service

· A can-do attitude

· Flexible and reliable

ABC teachers are a Gold Standard Supply Agency receiving the accredited Quality Mark Agency for the 5th year running. Successful applications will be required to attend a face to face interview to register with ABC. You will need to provide two references; either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure. If you do not have an up to date Disclosure please be prepared to allow us to process one for you.

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce. You will need to pay for this upfront, but once you are fully registered, have uploaded this onto the Update Service and have worked 1 full day with us then we will reimburse you the cost. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain academic references to cover the last 12 months, one of which must be a school based reference. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools. 

Once you are fully cleared for work then you will be contacted by your consultant who will be able to tell you more about the roles currently available and what may be suitable to yourself. Each of our consultants covers their own individual areas across from the Midlands and across Staffordshire. We also have a second office in Loughborough where they cover the East Midlands also.
