Norfolk House is seeking to appoint a highly skilled Early Years Teacher to join our team from April 2019. A dynamic, committed and inspiring EYFS teacher, you will join a committed team of early years staff that comprises Qualified Teachers and Montessori Directresses.

Building on the history of this former stand alone Montessori Pre-school, our early years is now part of a through school educating children aged 2-11 years. Situated on a seperate site dedicated to the younger year levels, we have a strong pedagogical underpinning in delivering high quality early years education in both the Montessori tradition and in the EYFS curriculum. We are looking to develop our provision to create a continuous and progressive EYFS curriculum that builds on the excellent Montessori history of the Pre-school and respects the heritage of the Montessori curriculum whilst preparing children for the National Curriculum.
The successful candidate will be appointed as class teacher for pupils within our Nursery. Our small class sizes ensure that we can give our pupils the best education and be rewarded with children who are excited by learning.

We are seeking an teacher who will:
Be an excellent and experienced early years practitioner with QTS ideally with an early years specialism at Degree level;
Enjoy the challenge of a dynamic and creative curriculum;
Bring a sense of excitement to lessons;
Be open to incorporating Montessori pedagogy into their practice;
Incorporate innovative use of ICT into lessons, exploiting all opportunities where appropriate to enhance Teaching and Learning;
Understand how best to develop individual pupils’ potential;
Be energetic and strongly self-motivated;
Be an effective communicator and team player;
Be very organised yet able to work flexibly.
