Situated in the prestigious Lozenets district of Sofia, preceded over by stunning views of the picturesque Vitosha mountain, St. George International School & Preschool is dedicated to the education and social development of students from ages 2-19.

The school has recently moved to a new, custom built site boasting state of the art facilities, classrooms, and large expo areas thanks to recent investments in the organisation. A brand-new sports complex, including a swimming pool, and several gyms is due for completion in time for the start of the new academic year.

EYFS Teachers

We are seeking professional and caring qualified EYFS Teachers with a minimum of two years’ experience to play a major role in the development of high-quality teaching and learning in the EYFS department. This includes the monitoring of curriculum planning, feedback and advice, assisting and supporting colleagues with the planning and delivery of an enriching, differentiated curriculum. 

The school provides quality education aimed at nurturing the development of the whole child concept, whilst emphasising a solid foundation based on the Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS). The school has a deservedly high standard and reputation and we seek someone with similar high standards. 

The Early Years practitioner will be responsible for implementing the EYFS programmes, be aligned to UK National Curriculum standards and understand curriculum content and assessment for learning for the school. 

The post Early Years incudes:

An excellent opportunity for an ambitious Early Years specialist to join St George Preschool to fully support parents, children, and staff, as they work towards whole school improvement. 

To progress the school further and develop upon the already strong provision of the EYFS curriculum. 

To improve student attainment in the EYFS setting, and progress against International Standards, alongside helping every child learn and acquire knowledge. 

The successful candidate will possess:

Recognised Teaching qualification (B.Ed. / PGCE / QTS or equivalent)

Significant knowledge and experience of the UK National Curriculum particularly at Early Years / Foundation Stage.

Minimum 2+ years teaching experience. 

To be creative, innovative and resilient. 

The candidate must be self-sufficient and able to work independently. 

The successful candidate will have high expectations of themselves with a professional working ethos and sound early years’ educational philosophy in to drive the educational needs of all children. This needs to be combined with exceptional communication skills to motivate both the children and staff.
