Facilities Assistant

Salary: TSAT Grade C - £16,500 - £18,500 FTE (Pro-rata to £11,148​ - £12,499​ for the hours stated)

We are looking to appoint a Facilities Assistant to work primarily at All Faiths Children’s Academy in Strood.

You will be a responsible person and competent in all aspects of site maintenance.  It is imperative that our Facilities Team successfully manage our school premises and associated facilities, ensuring that the premises are secure, safe and well-maintained at all times to reflect the standards of education and behaviour within the schools.

Role:

You will be working a 1pm – 6pm Monday – Friday pattern with some flexibility needed for school events. You will be part of a team required to maintain and care for the school and its grounds.

Duties include:

• Unlocking and locking the premises
• General building skills
• Interacting with sub-contractors
• Unblocking drains and cleaning
• Setting up rooms for meetings/exams and functions
• Any other duties that are required with this role.

What you will need to succeed:

• Previously worked as a caretaker or similar
• Practical skills in maintenance and cleaning
• Full clean driving licence with access to own transport
• Experience of working within an Academy/School is desirable, along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office
