We are seeking to appoint a professional, self-motivated Facilities Manager to join us at St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy. This is a key role which is integral to the smooth running of our school.
You will be responsible for premises related functions, including buildings and grounds maintenance, security, lettings and cleaning, and liaising with contractors on day-to-day repairs and maintenance and on larger building projects. You will be responsible for the supervision of delegated employees and provide a professional and efficient caretaking and maintenance service, maintaining a healthy, safe and secure environment in accordance with health and safety legislation and guidance and school policies and procedures; enabling all users to work effectively and safely.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our school community and we are looking for an energetic and passionate individual who will impact positively in this role. The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to work, possess the relevant skills and knowledge and have experience of general maintenance and repair of systems. St Benet Biscop is a popular and oversubscribed school which is highly regarded within the community and we offer high quality education in a Catholic Christian environment. St Benet Biscop is part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust. The post holder will be based at St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy but will be expected to attend off site meetings and training as required and may be required to support in other schools within the trust to ensure that operational needs are met.
