The School

Kingsbury High School is a vibrant learning environment with a strong community ethos.

Opportunities for further professional development are offered both in-house and through our membership of the Harrow Collegiate Teaching Schools Alliance and Brent Schools Partnership.

Prospective candidates are welcome to come and look around the school to see for yourself what makes Kingsbury High different. As a large 12 form entry 11-18 split site school we are situated in an inner London location, but with an out of London feel – surrounded by parkland with large playing fields and great local amenities, excellent transport links to enable easy access from central London and fringe areas. Our school is truly diverse in its makeup, whilst united as one family working to achieve the best for all our students.

Faculty of English & Media Studies

The Faculty is incredibly successful at both GCSE and A-level, with large classes for both A-level English Literature and Language; 85% of our students are predicted to achieve 9-5 in English Language this year. The Faculty also includes the Media Studies Department which is a popular A-level choice. We have always been innovative with the range of courses we have offered students and have often favoured early entry in GCSE English Language.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational and skilful teacher who will be able to motivate students, and raise their achievement through delivering outstanding practice. Excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to the subject and leadership potential are essential. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an imaginative, creative and inspiring leader to work in a supportive and energetic school where students are making significant and sustained progress.
