Finance and Administration Officer - St Mary of the Cross School, Windsor

 

The successful applicant will:

have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;

currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and

• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting procedures necessary. Working collaboratively with the School Secretary and Administration team. BCE finance and eMinerva training available. Typical duties performed include, but not limited to: Processing of the following: School fees generation; Accounts payable; Accounts receivable; Bank reconciliation; End of Month process and BAS; Maintain wage and salary records; Preparation of staff contracts and budget in conjunction with the Principal; Enter all financial data and prepare financial and management reports for review and authorisation by senior management; Census preparation and lodgement in conjunction with the Principal; General Secretarial and office duties; respond to enquiries from staff students, parents and general public and address issues accordingly; Assist input and maintenance of Student data system (eMinerva) and other BCE programs; Current first aid certificate

St Mary of the Cross school is an Archdiocesan school and part of the Lutwyche Parish and administered by the Brisbane Catholic Education Office on behalf of the Archbishop of Brisbane. St Mary of the Cross school is a small inner city school of 86 students from Prep to year 6.  We are proud of our Josephite tradition and try to live the message promoted by St Mary MacKillop - never see a need without doing something about it.
