We require a Finance Assistant to join the busy Finance department at the Howard of Effingham School.
Reporting to the Lead Finance Office Manager, you will work within a cluster of three schools within the Bookham/Effingham area, and some local travel to these schools will be part of the role when required. You will undertake a range of financial procedures, including placing orders, invoicing, preparation of cheques, issuing receipts and dealing with supplier issues, together with recording financial transactions ensuring accurate coding and efficient processing in compliance with finance policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level. The ability to work with others to achieve objectives and provide excellent customer service is essential, as is experience of working in a busy office environment, together with the ability to prioritise and plan own workload in the context of conflicting priorities.
