Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic accounts department. This role requires excellent English fluency and exceptional customer-facing skills, as you will be the primary point of contact for our clients. You will support the accounts department by performing various accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the company’s financial policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information in a professional and courteous manner.

• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and summaries for the head office.

• Accounts Receivable: Manage invoicing, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.

• Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, prepare payment runs, and reconcile supplier statements.

• Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

• Expense Management: Review and process staff expense claims, ensuring adherence to company policies.

• Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting databases with daily transactions.

• Administrative Support: Assist with filing, photocopying, and other administrative tasks as needed.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.

• Coordination: Liaise with the head office and other schools within the network to streamline financial processes and communications.

• Ad Hoc Duties: Support the accounts department with various projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role. Experience in an educational setting or international company is an advantage.

• Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.

• Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional language skills are a plus. Work Environment:

• Office environment within the school premises.

• Possibility to work from home as per the requirements of the position and the Work from Home policy at ICS.
