WMC – The Camden College is currently looking to recruit a Finance Officer who will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of all purchase ledger transactions, as well as assisting with payroll each month.  You will also be responsible for checking and recording the daily fees banking and non-fees receipts and the petty cash account.


 You will be an important part of the College’s Finance Department, assisting the Head of Finance with the efficient operation of the Department, and providing responsive and supportive service to internal and external customers of the department at all times.


 Applicants should be articulate and motivated, with excellent communication, IT and interpersonal skills, and experience of working in a purchase ledger function in the finance department of a medium-sized organisation, as well as Sage 50 Accounts.  Ideally, you will hold or be working towards a book-keeping or accounting qualification such as AAT.

The post involves working with young people and vulnerable adults and consequently is subject to a satisfactorily enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)

This job role will be based at our main site in Camden, two minutes’ walk from Mornington Crescent and 10 minutes from Camden Town.
