Nehru World School, India (Estd 1978) and The Glasgow Academy, UK (Estd 1845) are seeking a Founding Head of Early Years and Extended Care Centre for the first of its kind Early Years and Child Care facility in Noida (National Capital Region), India. We are due to open in October 2022. This purpose-built facility will accommodate up to 250 children. We are flexible in terms of a start date for the right candidate. 


We are looking for a genuinely dynamic leader who will be able to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders drawing on the best of international curriculums and practice to establish a truly world-class early years facility in India. 


Resilience, empathy, adaptability and cultural competence will be key, along with a sense of humour and purpose to provide the very best for children and colleagues as you make our  vision a reality.

The closing date for applications is Saturday 2nd July 2022. We reserve the right to appoint early in the case of an exceptional candidate applying. 

The intention is to have onsite final interviews in August in line with candidate availability.  All expenses will be covered for the relevant candidates. 


The contract will be full-time for 3 years in the first instance. Our generous package includes accommodation within 20 minutes of school, a car and driver, annual return tickets, a relocation allowance, pension contribution and 45 days holiday allowance plus agreed Government holidays.

Nehru World School is a co-educational all-through independent school based in Uttar Pradesh in India.

Established in 1978, the school offers an English medium education and received an International School Award from the British Council in 2011 for successfully embedding internationalism in its curriculum. Most subjects are integrated with technology and teachers use online videos and links to explain concepts.
