As a result of an internal restructure, Drapers Mills Primary Academy has vacancies for both a full-time and a part time Caretaker with effect from January 2019.

As a Caretaker you will be responsible for the opening and closing of a large site, and for the maintenance and caretaking activities to ensure the safety, security and sound condition of the buildings, facilities and grounds of our wonderful school. You will be expected to have experience in building maintenance and skills in a number of disciplines. You will also need to be flexible, effective as part of a team, with good communication skills and a good understanding of the health and safety requirements of a large site.

You will be working under the direction of the School’s Business Manager and representatives from the Academy Trust.

Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is a year round contract for 37 hours per week (full time post) and 25 hours per week (part time). Working hours will be finalised on appointment but are likely to be 6.30am to 2.30pm (full time post) and 1pm to 6pm (part time post). There may also be a requirement to switch shifts as required and to work evenings and weekends on an occasional basis. Overtime hours will be paid at the appropriate rate.
