Applications are invited from suitably qualified teachers for the following position: 

Full Time Temporary Teaching Positions commencing 2019 school year.

The successful candidate will be a highly professional, growth-oriented practitioner with a demonstrated ability to: 


  • Plan and implement effective teaching and learning units across all KLAs using the NSW Syllabus for the Australian Curriculum. 
  • Actively contribute to the collaborative culture of the school as a Professional Learning Community.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students and parents. 
  • Actively seek professional learning opportunities. 
  • Use research-based instructional practices and data to inform pedagogical practices within flexible and adaptive learning environments. 
  • Assess and provide feedback on student learning. 
  • Implement positive and supportive behaviour management practices. 
  • Lead initiatives beyond their own class and stage group. 
  • Mentor and support colleagues. 
  • Promote high expectations, respect for diversity and difference whilst facilitating learning for all students. 
  • Hold a current NSW Working with Children check. 
  • Hold current NESA Accreditation

St Joseph's Primary School is a co-edcucational Catholic primary school catering to students from kindergarten to Year 6. The school was founded by the Sisters of St Joseph in 1928 and is located in Wauchope in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales.

Curriculum

St Joseph’s provides a comprehensive curriculum adhering the Board of Studies and Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES) syllabuses for Primary Education. The Key Learning Areas are English, mathematics, science and technology, HSIE, creative arts and PDHPE. Religious education is an integral part of the curriculum and St Joseph’s implement the curriculum requirements used in the Lismore, Sydney, Armidale and Wollongong Dioceses. Learning is a personalised and collaborative experience that incorporates 21st-century teaching.
