Located in Auckland, New Zealand - Avondale College is looking for a dedicated, soft materials, food & fabrics teacher.
This is a full-time permanent position commencing at the start of the NZ school year in late January 2020. We invite UK trained teachers considering working in NZ to visit the school website. http://www.avcol.school.nz.
The development of a scholarship programme with links to university or post secondary vocational study, in tandem with delivery of the Cambridge International Curriculum, is generating high levels of scholastic and technical achievement resulting in increasing numbers of our students attending degree level study or moving directly into apprenticeships.
We are looking for a great teacher who can spark enthusiasm for their subject and achieve excellent results from their students. As well as managing a full teaching programme successful applicants are expected to be involved in our exciting co-curricular activities programme. Employment conditions will be as detailed in the NZ secondary teachers contract and remuneration will be based on qualifications and experience. In addition, a one-off NZ Ministry of Education International relocation grant of NZ$5000 currently exists (T&Cs apply).
Priority will be given to applicants who are able to attend an interview in person in London (Saturday 28 or Sunday 29 September) with the Principal Mr Brent Lewis.
