The Latymer School is one of the most vibrant, diverse and successful state grammar schools in the country. The School is the main beneficiary of the charity The Latymer Foundation at Edmonton, tracing its origins to 1624 and Edward Latymer’s bequest of funds to educate ‘eight poore boies’ from Edmonton asking the trustees to carry this out ‘unto the end of the world’.
395 years later, The Latymer Foundation is looking for an experienced and energetic Fundraising Manager. The role is part time (20 hours per week flexi) and is ideal for someone looking for an exciting challenge and wants to make a significant contribution to one of the UK’s leading schools.
The key purpose of the role is to build upon and to develop the fundraising and stewardship activities, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, namely, parents, alumni, local businesses and the wider community. The candidate must be able to revitalise the existing fundraising function and will have a strong professional background in fundraising, organising events and communications. They will be highly creative with excellent literacy, presentation and communication skills with experience of using social media for fundraising activities. The candidate will be able to work independently, as well as organise teams for fundraising activities which will involve working alongside the Head, Trustees, Governors and other stakeholders.
