There are approximately 950 students on roll, which includes the Sixth Form. A new building programme, due for completion in September 2018, comprises a brand new Sixth Form Centre, sports facilities including a gym and a new restaurant for both students and staff.
The Humanities department are friendly and supportive and made up of passionate subject specialists. They strive to make lessons enjoyable for students to encourage a love of learning and are keen to run a greater number of trips and introduce students to new opportunities. The department has seen a growth in the number of students choosing options within the humanities disciplines, both at KS4 and KS5 and joining us at this time of growth could offer some exciting opportunities.
We are seeking to appoint an excellent Geography teacher to join our team, teaching up to KS5. Committed to raising attainment, you will have the ability to motivate students and help develop engaging and inspiring curriculum in Geography. The Humanities department includes subject specialist teachers in RE, History, Psychology and Sociology. The staff who make up the Humanities department are hard-working, passionate and welcoming. This is an excellent place to develop your teaching and share expertise with other experienced members of staff.
