An exciting opportunity has arisen to support widening participation and outreach for learners in Greater Manchester with the goal of increasing participation of students from disadvantaged backgrounds into Higher Education.  The Programme (NCOP) is a highly targeted collaborative outreach programme focussed on working with Y9-13 pupils from areas which have lower participation in higher education than expected based on KS4 attainment.

The National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) is a highly targeted collaborative outreach programme and the Hub will be based at Salford City College however all post holders will work across Salford City College. Trafford College, Greater Manchester and may be required to travel nationally.

Principal Accountabilities 

To provide information, advice and guidance to target school/college learners in relation to the benefits of Higher Education and to facilitate engagement with the GM Higher programme

To support target learners in schools and colleges to increase their awareness of and readiness for Higher Education 

To be a role model for pupils in the area, advocating the benefits of Higher Education

To liaise with staff in target schools and colleges to increase their engagement in and awareness of the GM Higher programme
