Cuckoo Hall Academies Trust (CHAT) is the Charitable Trust set up to run and manage four Primary and one Secondary Academies serving approximately 2500 children. We are looking to appoint an experienced Clerk to support the busy role of our Governance PA in our Multi Academy Trust and provide clerking support to our governing body and committee meetings.

The role is part of a central services team which currently supports five academies and the Board of Trustees. Excellent communication skills are needed to liaise between a range of parties such as board members, governors, head teachers, teaching staff and support staff pupils and to liaise with regulatory bodies such as the Department for Education (DfE), the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), Ofsted and the Local Authority.

You will often be dealing with information of a highly confidential nature, and will need to be trustworthy and discreet in order to meet our data protection obligations. You should be used to working your own initiative and be proactive in completing tasks promptly, whilst being adaptable to keep up with the unpredictable nature of the workload where demands may change constantly. You will therefore need a good understanding about your role within the Trust.

You will need to be computer literate and have a flexible worth ethic that will allow you to fully support the needs of the role which will include regular evening support for official meetings and governor training.
