Job overview

The Governance Officer will provide support to the administration of the Trust’s governance arrangements to ensure the management of the Trust’s meetings meet statutory and regulatory requirements.  This enables our meetings to be undertaken in a professional and effective manner.  This involves maintaining effective records, supporting the organisation of the Trust’s governance meetings including the production and circulation of meeting papers, and providing an effective minute service.


This post is required to cover a period of maternity leave for a period until November 2019.


This is an important role offering an opportunity to contribute to our governance and gain experience of working within our rapidly expanding Academy Trust.  As attendance at Trust meetings is required occasional evening work will be needed.

You will have:

 

  • 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English at Grade C or above);
  • experience of supporting governance within a statutory or professional environment;
  • experience of producing meeting papers and minutes in a statutory or professional environment;
  • have strong IT skills with the ability to establish and maintain databases; and
  • outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
