Millfield is seeking new Governors with recent experience in the education sector. Applicants will be able to demonstrate successful leadership and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, energy and intellect. Candidates aspiring to lead the Education Committee after a short probationary period as a member of the Governing Body will be most welcome. 

Millfield is one of the largest independent co-educational boarding schools in the UK with over 1,700 pupils, aged 2 to 18 years. Located on two campuses in mid-Somerset, the school has outstanding facilities and is recognised for its inclusive and diverse nature. Millfield’s Senior School appointed an exciting and visionary Headmaster in September 2018 and appointed candidates will work closely to support him, and the rest of the school’s leadership team, in delivering academic value for all pupils as part of the wider education offering. 

The position is unremunerated, but expenses are paid. The time commitment is approximately ten days per annum.
