The WMC has been a valued resource for adult learners for over 160 years. We are recruiting a number of governors to join the Board as some of our current long-serving governors are stepping down.
We are looking for governors who bring a whole-hearted commitment to adult learning, to the values of the College, and who also have knowledge of the local area and experience of the world of adult education.
In particular we would like to recruit people with experience of internal and external audit to join the Audit Committee, people with knowledge of curriculum developments in Further (Adult and Community Learning) Education, and people with strategic financial experience.
We welcome applicants from minority ethnic communities so that diversity on the board is representative of the local community.
An application pack is available to download at the bottom of our website. (Blue boxes). This includes a letter from the Chair of Governors, a letter from the Clerk, role description and an application form (Word doc).
If you would like to talk to someone about the College or about your application, please contact Bill Barker, the Clerk, in the first instance on: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 7255 4717.
Please note we do not accept CV’s. In order to be considered for this role, you must submit an application form.
Please send your application by Thursday 21 February at noon.
Interviews are planned for Monday 11 March late afternoon/evening.
