Here at Stonyhurst we provide an exceptional education in the Jesuit Tradition, preparing students for successful and fulfilling lives. Located in the picturesque Ribble Valley in Lancashire, in a setting steeped in history.
We are delighted to offer these fantastic development opportunities for highly motivated and enthusiastic recent graduates who are looking to experience work and life within this outstanding boarding school environment. The job is designed to give a recent graduate an opportunity to gain experience of living and working in a boarding school environment, perhaps prior to embarking on a PGCE or taking up a full teaching position.
Working alongside Pastoral Heads, our Graduate Assistants are expected to make significant contributions to the boarding pastoral care of our pupils aged 13 and above, to the Stonyhurst community as a whole, and specifically within their specialist subject area. There will be opportunities to fully immerse yourself into life here at Stonyhurst and we expect our Graduate Assistants to take full advantage of this.
This year we are looking for Graduates in the Sports department, a variety of opportunities and sports, including hockey, rugby, strength and conditioning, football and netball.
We are seeking confident, resilient, well-rounded personalities who are approachable, enthusiastic, considerate and good communicators. You will liaise regularly with your Pastoral Head, senior boarding staff, teaching staff, support staff, parents and guardians.
In return we provide our Graduate Assistants with free of charge accommodation within the college along with all meals during term time and an annual salary of £12,000. We also offer complimentary use of the Sports facilities, including the swimming pool and fitness suite. Above all you will find a friendly and supportive team and the chance to have an active role in the life of this exceptional school.
The closing date for applications is 24th March 2019.
Interviews will be held on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th April 2019.
