Ardingly College have an outstanding opportunity for a Graduate Assistant Teacher of Drama, to support the Drama department from September 2019 for a fixed term period of up to 12 months.
The role involves assisting the Director of Drama in the life and work of a busy and successful Drama department and would suit somebody considering a teaching career, however no teaching experience or qualification is required.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about Drama and the Performing Arts who has a love of learning and who wishes to share their skills with enthusiastic and energetic young people.
The role would suit a recent graduate from university or drama school with ambitions to direct or teach, students at universities, performing arts colleges and drama schools on a third-year placement or an actor, director, choreographer or technician moving from the industry into teaching, prior to training or their first teaching placement.
Participation in the school’s busy extra-curricular programme is expected of all teaching staff and there is considerable scope for staff to get involved in a wide range of activities.
The hours for this role are 40 hours per week, for 35 weeks per year (term time only, plus two additional weeks).
The salary for this position is £14,393.94 per annum. College accommodation may also be available, with meals included during term time.
