Graduate Sports Assistant

1st Year: Full-time, Fixed-Term, Term-Time Only Contract (September 2019-July 2020)

2nd Year option:  Full-Time, Full-year, Fixed-Term Contract with Initial Teacher Training (July 2020 to July 2021)

Salary:            1st Year:  £17,252.33 per annum (based on term-time only) 

                            2nd Year: £21,881.00 per annum (full-year)

Whitgift is a leading independent day and boarding school for boys, with approximately 1,500 pupils and over one hundred boarding pupils.  It set in an attractive 48-acre parkland site in South Croydon with excellent transport links to London, Surrey and the South Coast.

The School has an outstanding tradition of sporting success in a variety of sports.  We are seeking a graduate to work within the Physical Education and Games Department.  The right candidate will join us initially for a one-year contract (September 2019 to July 2020) with the option of a possible extension to a second-year developmental post (July 2020 to July 2021).  

The post would suit someone with a Sports Science or sports related degree or equivalent who has a passion for Aquatics and is committed to developing talent.  No formal teaching experience is required but an understanding of the expectations required at a thriving school such as Whitgift is beneficial. Expertise in Cricket, Football, Hockey, and Rugby in particular would be an advantage, but all applications will be considered.  Accommodation may be available.
