At Francis Combe Academy we set the highest standards , hence we are looking for hardworking and dedicated graduates to join our motivated AEN Department. We are looking to appoint several graduates who would like to have a year in paid employment enabling them to experience first-hand what it is like to work with children in an thriving secondary environment.
If however, you do not want to go down a graduate teaching route, we also welcome your application if you have a particular passion for wanting to make a difference to the lives of young people with additional needs in the classroom.
We aim that all of our Graduate Teaching Assistants go on to secure a teaching opportunity, either through Schools Direct, or a PCGE route, as examples.
You will:
- Work with enthusiastic, well-behaved children
- Be part of high performing team, where our students are at the centre of everything we do
- Inspire our students to excel, to meet their full potential & foster a love of learning
- Work in a Academy where reflection and impact are key
We require Teaching Assistants to work 36.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks) Experience of working with students who have additional learning needs would be an advantage but not essential.
