Job overview

Radley College has an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Assistant to work at the school for the academic year 2024-2025. The position is designed to give recent graduates in Economics (or in an Economics related subject) the opportunity to gain experience of teaching to 16–18-year-olds.

The successful candidate will teach A-level Economics to small sets of motivated, capable upper and lower sixth students. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a successful and innovative department within a friendly and collegiate school community.

Graduate Assistants teach fewer lessons per week than full-time teachers (around 15 40-minute periods). This provides opportunities for training and development. Extensive support will be provided by teachers with experience of mentoring Graduate Assistants and Early Career Teachers. This will include help with planning and delivering lessons, monitoring students’ progress and preparing students for A-level examinations.

Being a boarding school there is also plenty of opportunity for the willing candidate to involve themselves in the extra-curricular life of the College

In addition to a salary and an excellent working environment, the College will seek to provide accommodation and meals during term time are free. More information on the role can be found at www.radley.org.uk/employment/teaching-vacancies/

Deadline for applications is 12 noon, Thursday 23 May 2024.
