We’re offering the opportunity to receive on-the-job training as a teacher, whilst studying for a recognised teaching qualification As a College, we are determined to ensure that all of our students reach their full academic potential and develop the skills and personality to lead successful futures.
Based in Walthamstow, London, we serve a diverse body of 1700 learners, aged 16-19. We are looking for graduates who are enthusiastic about teaching and inspiring young people. In this two year scheme, we’ll support your training and development as a teacher and will cover the cost of your teaching qualification.
You will study part time whilst you work. We offer ongoing support, including mentoring and coaching, in order for you to have the best possible start to your teaching career. In order to apply for the scheme, you should have achieved, or be on course to achieve, a 2:2 or above in your undergraduate degree. Whilst previous experience of supporting young people in their education is great, what really matters is your ability to engage with young people and create excellent learning environments for them.
You should also have a passion for your subject and a strong commitment to develop your professional practice. We also need you to have a high standards in both your literacy and verbal communication skills.
