An exciting opportunity has arisen for a grounds and gardens operative in our estates department based at Alwoodley Gates (Leeds 17).
GSAL’s immaculate landscape of over 150 acres, includes grass sports pitches, hard and artificial playing surfaces as well as gardens and landscape areas.
The successful candidate will work flexibly within a small but enthusiastic team and will be expected to play a full part in the maintenance of the grounds and gardens areas, the continued development of good quality sporting facilities and the general marking and maintenance of the sports pitches.
Ideally candidates will have previous experience of working in a similar environment with a proven track record of grounds maintenance, sports pitch maintenance and repair, and hold a recognised horticultural qualification. Candidates must be capable of working well on their own and as part of a wider team. Either tractor driving experience or a tractor driving qualification will be a distinct advantage.
This is a full time position, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday with Saturdays being worked on a rota, 1 in 4 weeks. Additional hours may be required during busy periods.
