This leading HMC co-educational school seeks to appoint a Grounds Person to join the enthusiastic and professional support team.
The successful candidate will ensure that School grounds and external sports facilities are appropriately maintained and ready for use, meeting the needs of a busy School calendar. The Grounds Person will be aware of the various uses of the School grounds at different times of the year, giving particular attention to cricket squares; they will also be able to carry out general grounds work and manual tasks working alongside the maintenance, portering and gardening teams, as well as giving advice on tree safety on the site. Applications are invited from enthusiastic individuals who can work individually and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will have a recognised Groundskeeping qualification and relevant experience from a variety of environments, especially a school. A clean driving licence is necessary, as is knowledge of the operation of grounds equipment. Spraying certificates PA1 and PA6 will be an advantage. Applicants with no experience of marking out pitches and using tractors/grounds equipment will not be considered.
The post is full time with 20 days holiday per annum, rising to 25, plus bank holidays. Occasional weekend work.
The salary will be around £20,500-£22,500 per annum based on experience
