Tes is supporting the appointment of a dynamic and enthusiastic Visiting Gymnastics Coach to deliver training sessions to girls aged 11-18. The ideal candidate will have a British Gymnastics Level 2 qualification.
The school enjoys exceptional sporting facilities including a state-of-the-art sports centre, 6 lane 25m swimming pool, 5 lacrosse pitches, a large floodlit Astroturf pitch, eighteen netball courts and twenty-four tennis courts.
This is a great opportunity to join a friendly team of teachers at a well-established boarding school with a competitive rate of pay.
Lessons and training sessions currently take place at the times below:
Monday 17:20 – 19:00
Friday 18:00 – 19:30
There maybe be some changes to these times depending on the applicant appointed, and the needs of the School.
The Gymnastics Coach will be required to:
- Teach pupils, ranging from complete beginners to those of a high standard, offering encouragement, support and guidance as necessary
- Follow guidelines and procedures as set out in the Information Booklet for Visiting Staff and the Staff Handbook
- Assess, record and report as required on the development, progress and attainment of pupils
- Promote the general progress and wellbeing of any pupil assigned to them
- Act in a professional manner, maintaining good order and discipline among pupils and safeguarding their health and safety, both when they are on the School premises and when they are engaged in authorised School activities elsewhere
- Enter pupils for gymnastic competitions, make arrangements for pupils for competitions (including transport), attend competitions and support the girls who compete
- Any other reasonable duties to support gymnastics at the school, by agreement with the Director of Sport
- Complete the timetabling of lessons with the assistance of the PE Administrator
- Assist in the set-up of gymnastics equipment in line with health and safety rules and regulations.
