Head of Academy

His Highness, the Aga Khan is establishing a network of schools across East Africa, the Middle East, and South and Central Asia. His vision is to create a global learning community, where exceptional young people from any background can develop the capacity to become the future leaders of civil society. Aga Khan Academies have already been opened in Mombasa, Kenya, in Hyderabad, India, and in Maputo, Mozambique.

The network now seeks a Head for the Academy in Hyderabad, with a preferable start date of August 2019.

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to lead and develop an established Academy, situated on a stunning, purpose-built campus just outside of one of India’s most dynamic cities. The Head of Academy will be tasked with championing the Academy, engaging actively in all aspects of its life, and inspiring and delivering the next phase of its development.

The ideal candidate will combine a track record of successful IB school leadership with a deep sense of cultural awareness and a global perspective. Refined communication skills and the political nous required to work with diverse stakeholder groups are essential. Candidates must demonstrate a genuine resonance with the mission behind the Aga Khan Academies project and the wider vision of His Highness, exemplified by the work of the Aga Khan Development Network (www.akdn.org).
