We are at an exciting stage of our development and following a review of our organisational structure, the following opportunity has arisen:

Head of Autism Research and Development
Permanent, Full Time, 52 Week Contract, Salary: circa £30,000

ALS is seeking a Head of Autism Research and Development to join the Strategic Leadership Team, with a focus on further refining, developing and promoting our Autism expertise through effective research and development.

The post-holder will play a key role in the future development of ALS, particularly through developing and raising funds for new research programmes and projects.

An important aspect of the post will be to help build and maintain ALS’s reputation as an organisation able to research and evaluate, develop and advise on Autism. Additionally, the post-holder will be responsible for developing a Traded Model of outreach service aimed at other providers, including but not limited to schools.

The role will involve further development of the school’s substantial networks, and include a significant communications role online and through other electronic media, as well as through publications, presentations and participation in school’s internal and external events.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate high aspirations, courage, drive, passion for equality of opportunity, total commitment to workforce development and partnership working. Ability to communicate this clearly and passionately to a wide range of stakeholders will be key.
