Bromsgrove International School, Thailand, is a well-established co-educational boarding and day school for over 510 students from ages 2 to 18. We now seek an experienced and dedicated Head of Boarding to continue to develop and expand our boarding provision for our Year 4 – Year 13 pupils. This role is pivotal to the ongoing success of our boarding provision and the Head of Boarding will oversee both the pastoral/residential care of the students and all day-to-day operational aspects of the Boarding houses. The successful candidate will lead both the Housemaster, Housemistress and a dedicated team of Boarding staff across both the boys' and girls' houses. This position is part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at the school.
The successful candidate should:
Hold a good honours degree (plus ideally a post-graduate qualification in education e.g. PGCE)
Have a minimum of 7 years experience of working in a boarding environment as a residential Housemaster/Housemistress and/or boarding tutor, either in the UK independent boarding sector or overseas
Have the ability to deliver excellent levels of pastoral care
Contribute fully to the extra-curricular activities of the school
Demonstrate the enthusiasm, determination and resilience required for working in pastoral care
Be able to work in a team and support pupils, parents and staff
Be able to manage a nurturing environment that encourages honesty and responsibility within the boarding houses
Have excellent communication; inter-personal skills and emotional intelligence
Be computer literate and familiar with Google docs
