St Brigid’s College is a Catholic College, situated in the beautiful green hills 25 minutes east of Perth, with excellent staff facilities. Our Junior section accommodates girls and boys, and the Secondary section caters exclusively for girls. The College offers girls’ only boarding for Year 7 to Year 12 students.

We are seeking applications for a full-time Head of Boarding. The Head of Boarding is a member of the College’s Senior Leadership team (SLT). This position reports directly to the Principal. Live in facilities will be discussed personally with the successful candidate.

The successful applicant is to lead the Boarding team and is responsible for ensuring the College efficiently contributes to the provision of a quality welfare and education service to boarding students and offers an individualised nurturing environment where respect toward others, and a happy community atmosphere prevail, and in accordance with St Brigid’s College Mission and Values.

As a member of SLT, it is an expectation that the Head of Boarding is directly involved in the life of the College.

Essential Selection Criteria

• a clear commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
• strong leadership and management skills
• a cheerful and happy disposition
• demonstrated experience in a similar position.
• demonstrated commitment to contributing to a positive and collaborative environment.
• ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
• strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• a current C class driver’s license.
• the ability to provide individualised nurturing learning environment to Boarding students.
• evidence of receiving all required Covid-19 vaccinations or approved exception as per current legislation.

Desirable

• a teaching qualification from an accredited teacher education program or one recognised by the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia as equivalent.
• current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
