About Abbots Bromley School
Set in a beautiful 52 acre site, Abbots Bromley School has been the heart of first class learning for over 135 years and has a long history of providing a centre for excellent all-round education. It is one of the oldest Woodard Schools and the very first Woodard School for Girls and since its origination the school has evolved and progressed, building on its respected heritage whilst maintaining a world-wide reputation for being at the cutting edge of education.
The site was originally the school of S. Anne, established in 1874 and the school of S. Mary, established in 1880. The two schools merged in 1921 and became Abbots Bromley School for Girls in 2004. Today S. Anne's is home to the senior school for girls aged 11-18 and, from 2017, for boys aged 11. Integration will continue until the school is fully co-ed by 2020. The co-educational preparatory school takes children aged 3 to 11 and Abbots Bromley International College is housed in S. Mary's.
Our flourishing boarding and day school offers an exceptionally enriching experience for pupils of all ages, enjoying and taking advantage of first-class resources and excellent opportunities. Excellent facilities provide the unique opportunity to pursue Dance studies at all levels; Riding; Music and Performing Arts/Theatre and Sport.
Non-selective, the school provides an effective and supportive environment where each and every pupil is valued for themselves and encouraged to give and achieve their very best.
The school boasts an impressive academic record. The Christian ethos, natural surroundings, and Boarding tradition help make for a secure and happy atmosphere where pupils can expect to leave the School independent and ready and able to take their place in society, confident of their own worth.
