Description An exciting opportunity exists for The Head of Campus at All Saints College St Peter's Campus (7-10) The role will commence in January 2019. The role of Head of Campus will provide executive support to the College Principal and will provide structured leadership delegated in the absence of the Principal and/or in instances where the unique needs of the campus require immediate attention. The Head of Campus is responsible for the day to day management of their allocated campus and will work closely with the College Principal and colleague Head of Campus in all aspects of leadership responsibility.
Position Requirements The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) is responsible for the leadership, operation and management of systemic schools which educate more than 19,000 students in 45 Primary schools, 11 Secondary schools and one K–12 school in the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. The CSO employs more than 1800 teachers and around 550 support staff. Our main focus is providing support for schools to ensure each student receives a quality education and has the opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, physically and emotionally. All Saints College will be led by a College Principal. The Head of Campus will lead each campus and be responsible for the effective day to day operations of St Peter's and St Mary's Campus. We are looking to appoint transformational campus leaders with the ability to provide a visionary and forward thinking approach in maintaining the current legacy of exceptional education that is evident on each campus. All teachers will be expected to meet the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) required by NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). These standards are reflected in this position description.
Essential Criteria • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools
• Must be a practising Catholic
• The applicant has completed or will complete (within four years of appointment) a postgraduate qualification in Religious Education or Theological Studies
• The applicant should have a four-year trained teacher classification and at least six, preferably eight years, successful teaching experience
• A strong background in and command of a core content area in education with the ability to model and share current research and encourage evidence based practice
• Demonstrated success in creating and leading effective professional learning and building the capacity of teachers as leaders in learning
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and drive change and ensure a culture of continuous improvement
• A demonstrated capacity to think and act strategically; to exercise sound judgement; and to support the Principal in leading the mission of the school
• High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to develop and sustain constructive and respectful relationships within and beyond the school community
• Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise data to optimise organisational and educational outcomes
• Capacity to strengthen and integrate equity and diversity, work health and safety and performance management principles in the ongoing management and development of staff Note: To start or return to working as a teacher in a NSW school, you must be accredited by NESA. Teachers who have worked in a NSW school since before 1 October 2004, and have not had a break from teaching of more than 5 years, do not currently need to be accredited.
Desirable Criteria • Postgraduate qualifications in Educational Leadership
• Capacity to effectively attend to the day to day leadership of either St Mary's or St Peter's Campus while, together with the College Principal and executive team, contribute to the community of All Saints College.

Conditions of EmploymentThe level of remuneration for the Head of Campus role will be commensurate with the responsibilities of the role and will be set above the level of Assistant Principal. For further information on salary, please contact Rosa Tomassetti on 02 4979 1269.
