Required for September 2018, following the internal promotion of the current postholder, a well-qualified and experienced Head of Classics, to lead a lively and energetic department in this academically selective school (Years 7-13).

Latin taught to all pupils in Year 7 – 9 and a popular choice at GCSE and A Level. Classical Civilisation and Greek also taught at GCSE and A Level. Several students in recent years have taken the subject on to university level, including Oxbridge most years. Numerous visits both locally and abroad are organised by the department to support their teaching.
