Cheney School is a popular, high performing school located in the heart of Oxford serving a diverse community of students who are eager to learn. The success as a single Academy Trust is leading Cheney School to expand into a Multi Academy Trust. 

We are seeking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic Head of Communications. You will manage the daily operations of the School’s Communications office by delivering effective administrative support in this area to the school. You will manage different strands of communication in school which will include: prospectus; web site; events; press releases etc.

This post would suit a candidate who is committed to working in a school environment and is keen to contribute to the school’s ethos and values. Proven management skills are essential, as are experience in the web design and maintenance.

You will also need the following:

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, publishing software (in-design) and web creation.
  • Good interpersonal skills to help liaise with community, students, parents and staff across      the school.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and be a good team player.

37 hours per week, term-time plus 2 weeks during school holidays – with flexibility in terms of start time and working days. Grade 9 (point 29 - 32) £23,197.29 - £25,462.40 pa, pro rata
