The Bishop Wand Church of England School is seeking to appoint an innovative and inspirational leader who shares our vision and focus on making a difference to students’ lives by delivering an exciting Computer Science curriculum within our Technology, Computing and Art Faculty.
The Computing Department is dynamic and supportive who bring energy and enthusiasm to the delivery of their subject and collaboration across the faculty. This role will include teaching of Computer Science from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
Our Technology, Computing and Art Faculty has been going from strength to strength in the past 3 years and now have a team of outstanding practitioners that work well together and are keen to share ideas with each other and trainee teachers. Our team is innovative with a drive to introduce new and modern projects with enthusiasm. Our GCSE results in each area of the Faculty have been consistently excellent, achieving some of the highest residuals in the School. We strongly value enhancing the learning of our students though extracurricular activities outside of the class room, for example our Key Stage 4 and 5 students recently visited Bletchley Park to see the enigma machine and we are currently looking forward to a residential to Cern in October. We are looking for a colleague who would be willing to help move this level of success even further.
