The subject is popular with students and the take up at GCSE has been good. We also offer CNAT in Creative I-Media in KS4 and A Level Computer Science in KS5. The subject is also taught as a discrete subject in each year at KS3.
The school has invested heavily in its IT resources, adopting latest technologies where appropriate. The school employs a high performance core network serving over 500 desktop PCs and offering almost complete wireless coverage available to all staff and students.
We are currently running a Windows 10 environment, using core applications MS Office 2016 and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. In addition, we have a broad range of programming tools for students of all skill levels. The school also provides Office 365 professional accounts for staff and students as a platform for collaboration, sharing and out of school access. Show My Homework service is also provided as a formal assignment solution and Impero, the classroom computer management and monitoring application is available in all ICT suites.
