Tameside College in Ashton-Under-Lyne Greater Manchester is a diverse and vibrant further education college that offers a wide range of courses including A level and advanced level vocational study programmes, apprenticeships and adult courses up to degree level.
We are a good College with a determination to become outstanding. To support this journey, the College is seeking an exceptional candidate to join us to lead our Engineering department.
You will lead a very strong team of professional teachers across provisions in apprenticeships, student programmes, adult and commercial course.
Developing and implementing policies and procedures which support the quality improvement of the area, you will lead members of a team to deliver appropriate curricula and ensure the sharing of good practice; developing links with the Engineering industry, employers and training providers with the focus of participating in new Engineering initiatives, increasing work based learning and work experience opportunities for all levels of learners.
With recent experience of teaching and leading on a range of programmes and a detailed knowledge of curriculum developments, the successful candidate will hold a relevant degree or equivalent and a teaching qualification and have experience of internal moderation of programmes.
