The Head of Department - English and Maths is an exciting opportunity to lead on curriculum development, innovation and co-ordination within the English and Maths department areas. You will raise levels of student retention and achievement by identifying, exemplifying and promoting with colleagues best practice in the delivery of teaching and learning. You will also undertake appropriate staff development and to formulate and deliver development activities for other staff.

Methodical and flexible in your approach, you will share your skills and knowledge with learners and utilise your experience to motivate students to achieve, ideally whilst developing and maintaining high levels of student retention. A natural communicator and proven motivator, you will thrive on student interaction, giving effective guidance and helping them make the most of their futures.
