Cambridge Academic Partnership is a cluster of five schools within the United Learning group.

All staff working in the Partnership collaborate to ensure the schools bring out the best in everyone. We have a shared team of support staff, and the work of teaching departments is coordinated across the schools and all staff gather together for two conference days a year.

Students also benefit from an integrated curriculum which allows them to access specialist facilities across the schools, while our combined extra curricular offer promotes our commitment to education with character.

Our staff tell us that they think Cambridge Academic Partnership is a great community to work in and to develop their career - within the wider United Learning group we aim to offer you unrivalled professional development and the opportunity to work as part of a team where your contribution is really valued.

The role

We are excited to offer the opportunity for a talented professional to become Head of English at Trumpington Community College, a state of the art 11-16 school in the south of Cambridge and at the heart of a new community to start with us from the 1st January 2020.

Due to our growth since opening in 2015 we now need a Head of English with a vision for achieving outstanding outcomes and a remarkable experience for our students, in line with United Learning's Framework for Excellence.

United Learning

Cambridge Academy Partnership joined United Learning lately, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
