We are looking to appoint an experienced dynamic and enthusiastic Head of Drama to lead our Drama department, whilst teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE, A level Drama and Theatre Studies. To be successful, you will be a professional whose enthusiasm for performance is infectious, someone who understands the holistic development of Music, Drama and Dance, and above all else, have a real passion for the subject. You should have excellent knowledge of the subject, a proven track record of previous students achieving top results, and experience in directing school productions, with a willingness to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision, including extra-curricular activities.

Drama has become increasingly popular at Doha College over the last few years with increased numbers of students opting for the subject, particularly at GCSE level where a high percentage of students achieve A* to B grades.  A level students gain a wealth of performing experiences beyond the classroom with opportunities to participate in events such as the Edinburgh Festival. We prepare for a number of productions each year, which include examination pieces, as well as attending local festivals.

The Drama department also offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities including the annual college production (which attracts over 100 students).  We participate in the Qatar Schools Shakespeare Festival, BSME Drama events, LAMDA examinations, as well as visits to London Theatres and the Edinburgh Festival.

All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and displays, and all students are furnished with an iPad upon entry.
